When sharing my screen, it is very delayed, what can I do about this?
Article outlining reasons for delay while screen sharing.
There are a few friendly reminders to keep in mind if you're experiencing delays while sharing your screen:
- The reception on your tablet could be a factor.
- The reception on the other person's tablet might also play a role.
- Occasionally, there could be issues with the carrier's network.
To check if your area generally has good coverage, feel free to take a look at the Optus Coverage Map: https://www.optus.com.au/living-network/coverage
If you're facing temporary disruptions or outages, you can always refer to the network status map for updates: https://www.optus.com.au/living-network/service-status
Also, it's worth noting that some screen sharing applications can be more demanding on bandwidth than others. If this is something you frequently encounter, consider reaching out to see if you can hold your meetings or sessions at the Virtual Community Centre, where we use Zoom. Zoom is often better equipped to handle lower bandwidth conditions compared to other applications.
